Natalie McKay
Natalie is a graduate in Psychology from Sheffield University (so yes, she can read your mind) who joined MK in August 2007.
While at University, she was something called a Student Brand Manager. This involved working for companies like 3 Mobile, Lloyds TSB, Cross & Blackwell and Nivea and helping them to develop their marketing towards students organising events, press coverage, sample testing and market research. In return for this, she was paid money.
She was clearly busy at University because on top of this she wrote for the student paper and co-hosted a radio show discussing national and student news. However, she freely admits to using this diminutive but effective platform to push her own agenda (and occasionally that of 3 Mobile, Lloyds TSB, Cross & Blackwell and Nivea).
Greater editorial restraint was exercised when Natalie left University and started working for a large regional publishing house. She spent the obligatory period travelling round Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. She didn’t find herself, but back in the UK, found a job no more than 800 yards from the place where she started.
Still young enough to be down with the University kids, Natalie often accompanies them on nights out for research purposes.
