Becky Tynan

Becky’s certainly no slacker. She has degrees in Management and Communications, Advertising and PR, which she admits left very little time at University for organizing sit ins, getting up after “Neighbours”, selling the rag mag, interrailing or drinking her own bodyweight in subsided lager at the Union every evening. We say this was no bad thing.

With this work ethic Becky started her career at The PR Agency in Belfast, handling events and media relations for Subway, Porcelanosa, Forestside Shopping Centre, Johnston’s Coffee and Ulster Rugby. She left while a memorable event to dropkick a foot-long sub over the Forestside centre, into a bath full of Cappuccino remained very much at the concept stage.*

Those degrees came in handy at the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, where she was a member of the Destination Marketing and PR Unit, responsible for regional, national and international marketing and PR campaigns including media relations, journalist tours, trade workshops and advertising. Becky’s proof that hard work does not a dullard make, but she hasn’t seen an episode of Neighbours since 1998.

*Not really.
